How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic is always up to you.
Yet without the strengthening and retraining of underlying muscles and
soft tissues, discontinuing care when you feel better can invite a
relapse of your original problem. If that should happen, please don't
blame chiropractic! Instead, give us a call so we can welcome you back
and pick up where we left off.
It's great to see your progress. Let's continue and see the completion
of the healing process and a thorough recovery.
One item can help you on your road to health is regular physical
activity or exercise. Regular physical activity throughout life is
important for maintaining a healthy body, enhancing your chiropractic
adjustments. Once your chiropractor has approved a return to regular
physical activity
do so slowly.
Regular physical activity increases muscle and bone strength, increases
lean muscle and helps decrease body fat, is the key to any weight loss
program, and reduces depression and anxiety.
To begin a health physically active lifestyle cut down on:
·
Watching TV
·
Computer Games
·
Sitting for more
than 30 minutes at a time
Everyday try to walk more and take longer routes during work or around
the neighborhood. You could park your car farther away from your
destination.
Increase leisure activities like golf, bowling, softball, yard work,
stretching, hiking, bicycling, dancing, soccer or other activities that
are safe for your condition. Do these activities for 20 minutes at least
three times per week.
Begin slow and your life will be filled with energy and health. |
